About FanStitches

Many moons ago, Jen created her very first pattern, by hand, no less–the Harry Potter Spells Sampler–and stitched it up for a friend’s birthday. I thought maybe others would also enjoy it. After researching online store fronts, I settled at Etsy. The Harry Potter sampler was the only thing listed for years. :0)

Fast forward a few years and I discovered hockey. Which led me to wanting to design and stitch hockey-related stuff. But there are a lot of players and a lot of potential for patterns of all kinds, and I didn’t want to be limited by fees.

Hockey-related stuff led to other stuff I’m a fan of (hence the name FanStitches), but the number of patterns I was able/willing to list was minimal due to Etsy’s listing fees. So I finally decided to open my own online storefront.

Love the counted cross stitch graph for Lindgren #55. Was made by special request and was available way before expected day. LOVE DOING BUSINESS WITH YOU. The response was immediate and the product was perfect. Will be ordering more hockey jersey as soon as I finish the two i bought. VERY VERY PLEASED!!!

Jen is absolutely fantastic. She is amazing at her work. So much so she has been working on other patterns for me. I’m so pleased I found someone so talented and very easy to talk to. Great work Jen!

Michelle ~ Custom Pattern: The Original Six Era Hockey Sampler

Really impressed with the service. I asked for a custom jersey for the previous team captain. The store owner asked even if I wanted the Jersey when they were still on the team! Received the pattern back 2 days later, and it was clear and easy to follow. Would definitely recommend.

About Jen

Jen FitzGerald has been cross stitching since she was a little girl. She’s stitched her fair share of projects over the years, but decided to try her hand at designing them in the early aughts. And while her patterns aren’t super complicated, she does enjoy making them and hopes other people find pleasure in stitching them.

Jen lives in Fort Worth, Texas, with her husband, her little dog Rascal, and old gentleman cat Waldo. Their three children are now adults and out terrorizing the world at large instead of them.

When not working her day job, Jen spends a lot of time reading, writing, watching hockey, and perusing Twitter for the latest in hockey news. She also enjoys music, cross stitching, chatting online with writer friends, and is always on the lookout for new pattern ideas.
